A new associate superintendent for Wild Rose Public Schools will step into his role on June 10.
Gord Atkinson will be responsible for learning services.
“Mr. Atkinson’s passion for helping people, extensive business planning background and wide range of educational experience made him the right candidate to work within our education team,” said board chair Nancy McClure said in a news release.
Atkinson was a teacher and deputy superintendent within the Northern Gateway Regional Division, and a principal at West Central High School. He also has seven years of experience in corporate education and training.
His current position is national manager of safety training services at Flint Energy Services Ltd.
“People can expect me to be student focused, results driven, a team player and innovative,” said Atkinson in a news release.
