New Zealand rotary members visit Red Deer

Rotary Club of Red Deer participates in exchange

Rotary Club of Red Deer members are welcoming Rotarians from New Zealand as part of a friendship exchange.

Twelve members of the southern Alberta Rotary district visited New Zealand in February and now 11 New Zealand members are travelling around Alberta.

District Rotary chair Margie Hansma said it’s the first time Red Deer Rotary has participated in the exchange and she hopes members will continue to partake in the future.

“It’s about exchanging experiences, culture, Rotary ideas and just developing friendships,” Hansma said.

The New Zealanders arrived in Red Deer on Sunday for three days before they travel south.
