Red Deer’s non-profits can apply for one-time, short-term project funding through The City’s Community Culture Development Fund.

The City of Red Deer is accepting applications for the Community Culture Development Fund (CCDF) – Opportunities Category.

The CCDF grant program provides funding support for not-for-profit organizations that deliver arts, culture, and heritage initiatives in Red Deer.

The Opportunities Category assists with offsetting short-notice and/or one-time costs related to unforeseeable culture initiatives where longer-term planning was not possible.

A total of $20,000 is available in 2023, with a maximum of $3,000 per application. There is no deadline for applications, which will continue to be accepted until funds are depleted.

“Great things can come from seizing unexpected opportunities, and we’re pleased to be able to support local organizations in being nimble and capturing opportunities that enhance the community experience for all of us,” said Bobby-Jo Stannard, the city’s community development superintendent.
