Nova Scotia is easing public-health restrictions in and around Halifax, while new daily cases in Ontario are creeping up.
Health officials in the Atlantic province say rules that came into effect last week limiting restaurant hours, prohibiting sports events and discouraging non-essential travel will end tomorrow morning in the capital region.
Nova Scotia is reporting three new cases today and 29 active ones.
Ontario, meanwhile, is reporting 994 new infections, almost four per cent higher than the previous report, but the third straight day below 1,000.
Ontario also says there have been 10 more deaths there linked to the virus.
Quebec says it has 707 new cases, along with 20 additional deaths.
That province is easing restrictions in Quebec City and four other regions starting Monday, but keeping them in place in the Montreal area due to concern over more transmissible variants.
