Stettler RCMP are investigating the theft of some unique oilfield tools.
Police said a locked compound was broken into Aug. 4 and tools were removed from the back of a parked truck.
Equipment stolen includes the receiver end of a Vivax-Metrotech line locator, a transmitter, a Digitron gauge, a Crystal gauge and an odorator.
Police said the tools are valuable, but will not benefit the public. It is possible the equipment was discarded, or that the suspects are trying to sell them.
Anyone with information about the theft, or the whereabouts of the tools, is asked to contact Stettler RCMP at 403-742-3382.
