Byelection will be held Jan. 20 to fill seat on Olds council

Nominations will be accepted at town office until Dec. 9

A byelection will be held Jan. 20 to fill a Town of Olds council position left vacant by the resignation of Wade Bearchell.

He stepped down for personal reasons Oct. 22.

Nominations will be taken until noon on Dec. 9. They will be accepted during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Town of Olds office, 4512 46th St.

Anyone interested in running for Olds council can get an information package from the town’s website, www.olds.ca, or from the municipal office.

Further information regarding advanced and institutional voting dates will be announced following a special council meeting on Monday.
