A local automotive dealership has pitched in $25,000 for the Olds Athletic Park.
Hildebrand Motors announced the donation Monday, as the major project awaits the thaw to get underway.
“We have been fortunate to do business in Olds for over 28 years,” said owner Paul Hildebrand. “This project gives us the opportunity to ensure that athletics in Olds and area continues to flourish.”
The contribution will help support the ball diamonds and soccer pitches of the Northwest Olds Athletic Park. Construction of the park is set to start in the spring. The town is targeting summer 2018 for the opening of the park.
The town has committed $3 million over their 2017-2018 budgets towards the new multi-purpose athletic park.
