Olds dentists donate $50,000 towards multi-purpose athletic park

Olds is moving towards the construction of a large athletic park, and they got $50,000 closer with a big donation from a local dental clinic.

The donation from Dr. Kyle Craven and Dr. Jasmine Gill, owners of the Olds Family Dental Clinic, was announced Monday.

Construction of the park is slated to start this spring and the target opening time is Summer 2018. When completed it will have soccer pitches and softball and baseball diamonds.

“Olds and the surrounding region has been really good to me, to my business and to my family,” said Craven in a release. “We love this community and have taken advantage of the many amenities we have as a small town, and believe we can do our part as a business to get more still.”

The town of Olds has committed $3 million of their 2017-18 budget towards the park.
