Olds RCMP investigate two break and enters at Canada Post in Bowden

Olds RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in obtaining information about two break and enters at the Canada Post Office in Bowden.

On Feb. 6, the Olds RCMP responded to a complaint that the Bowden post office had been broken into sometime during the previous night.

The suspect or suspects entered through the front public entrance and broke into several mailboxes and the main office area. An unspecified number of mail and parcels were stolen.

On Monday, the Olds RCMP responded to a second break and enter at the post office. On this occasion, the suspect or suspects entered the public area, broke into multiple mailboxes, and mail was stolen again.

Due to increased security measures put in place since the first incident, thieves did not gain access to the main office area.

The RCMP are continuing their investigation into these incidents and are asking the public to come forward with any information.
