One woman dead, three injured in car crash near O'Chiese Reserve

One woman died and three other women were injured in a single-vehicle rollover near the O’Chiese Reserve.

One woman died and three other women were injured in a single-vehicle rollover near the O’Chiese Reserve.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP were called to the O’Chiese grid road, just north of Buster Creek Road, at about 3:40 p.m. Saturday when a vehicle with four women in it rolled.

Two females were found ejected from the vehicle, while two others were found injured inside. All four women were taken to Rocky hospital by the EMS team from the Sunchild/O’Chiese Reserve and Rocky EMS.

One of the women died from her injuries at Rocky hospital. Her identity is not being released by police at this time.

Another woman was airlifted to Calgary hospital by STARS air ambulance with unknown injuries. Another injured woman was also later transported to Calgary.

The fourth person was treated and released from Rocky hospital.

No charges have been laid, as the cause of the collision is still under investigation by police.
