A female osprey feeds one of her three chicks at Three Mile Bend Recreation Area. Osprey pairs have long nested in the city along the Red Deer River, which provides a ready and abundant food supply for their young. Chicks and pairs can also be seen at two nesting platforms at Great Chief Park and the waste treatment plant.
