The province reported an increase of 406 COVID-19 cases Wednesday.
It marked a new daily high for the province, and according to reports, there are now 3,372 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
There have been 296 deaths from the virus, up three from Tuesday’s report.
The central zone now sits at 140 active cases. There are three cases in hospital and two in the ICU.
In the Edmonton zone, there are 1,649 active cases, while the Calgary zone has 1,174 active cases.
The geospatial mapping, which tracks cases in different municipalities, was not updated Wednesday. As of Tuesday’s update, Red Deer sat at 39 active cases.
According to the same map, there are 45 active cases in Wetaskiwin County (Maskwacis), 12 in Lacombe and nearby Lacombe County, 12 in central and north Red Deer County and parts of Lacombe County, one in Rimbey (west Ponoka County and partial Lacombe County), two in Innisfail (south Red Deer County) and four in Olds and north Mountain View County.
There are seven active cases in the Stettler County area and four in Camrose County area.
There are no active cases in Sylvan Lake, Three Hills area, Sundre (west Mountain View County), east Ponoka County and Rocky Mountain House (Clearwater County) area.
