Painted Pastures Rescue Horses wishlist

Supplies accepted

A local horse rescue could use a little help to keep its horses healthy and happy.

While Painted Pastures Rescue Horses is not a charity, it does accept donations.

The rescue’s donation wish list includes:

  • Horse-quality hay with little or no alfalfa, or horse-quality hay available for purchase at a reasonable cost.
  • New or used livestock panels.
  • New or used tack and blankets to be used by the rescue or to be sold to purchase other necessities.
  • Bags of stall shaving.

Monetary donations can be made directly to the rescue’s veterinarian Ken Vanderwekken of Stone Willow Veterinary Clinic in Lacombe to assist with medical services.

Upcoming veterinarian services required include the gelding of Zeus and surgery for Cherish who has a serious case of proud flesh, and any potential emergency.
