Two individuals suspected of stealing a truck were arrested in Ponoka.

Tyler Blaine Stewart, 42, and Jessica Alison Gregorie were charged with possession of stolen property, along with various weapons charges.

During a routine traffic stop, officers determined the GMC Sierra the pair were driving was stolen.

After they were arrested, a search of the truck also revealed dangerous items, including brass knuckles, bear spray, knives and break-in instruments.

Also seized was a small amount of a substance believed to be heroin.

Both accused have been remanded to appear in Ponoka provincial court on Friday.
