Central Albertans lined downtown Red Deer streets on Wednesday morning with perfect weather for the Westerner Days parade.
More than 125 entries were part of the 2019 parade featuring marching bands, floats, horse-drawn carriages and celebrities, including Premier Jason Kenney.
The parade kicked off Westerner Days, which opened its gates at noon Wednesday and goes until Sunday.
Westerner Days runs noon to midnight Wednesday to Saturday, and noon to 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
