Lacombe County Reeve Paul Law is back for her eighth one-year term.

Law is councillor for Division 4, which is in the central part of the county surrounding the City of Lacombe and extending to the border with Ponoka County.

“Together, with my fellow councillors, we will continue to speak up for our residents and for central Alberta on regional, provincial and federal issues – especially at this time, when there are a number of issues that could have a direct and significant impact on them,” said Law, who has been on council for 10 years.

Law was born and raised in the county, and with her husband, operates a grain farm northeast of Lacombe. She was first elected reeve in 2013.

“I appreciate the trust and confidence my fellow councillors have in me, and I’m committed to working with this passionate group of individuals to serve Lacombe County to the best of my ability,” said Law in a statement.

Division 5 Coun. Ken Wigmore is in the second year of his two-year term as deputy reeve.
