Pedestrian killed in collision with train in Blackfalds
A pedestrian was pronounced dead when he was hit by a train in Blackfalds Wednesday.
RCMP were on the scene of a collision between a pedestrian and a train in Blackfalds at Broadway Avenue and Greg Street crossing. A 53-year-old man from Red Deer died at the scene.
The area was impassable to traffic for several hours Wednesday evening.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
Police say the man’s name will not be released.
