RCMP are investigating a fire that happened in Penhold on Tuesday.

Penhold firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Waskasoo Avenue at about 5 p.m.

“We arrived on scene to find a SUV in the ditch on fire and a grass fire spreading to a power pole. There was no one in the vehicle and we quickly put the grass fire out, used foam on the vehicle, as the gas tank was feeding the fire,” said acting fire Lt. Bailey McKay.

No injuries were reported.

Waskasoo Avenue was closed for about two hours.
