The Central Alberta Humane Society’s Fur-Ever Friends Pet Photo Contest is underway.

Those interested can enter their pet for $5 for a chance to win a featured month in the society’s 2021 calendar, or maybe even be the cover star.

All 12 winners will get a professional photo shoot, three digital photos from the shoot, and a humane society calendar. Other prizes include gift cards.

If you don’t have a pet to enter, you can still check out the entries and vote for your favourites.

The top six favourites will automatically win a spot in the 2021 calendar and the pet with the most votes will earn the cover.

Six more pets will be chosen by the judges based on their story and/or photo.

All proceeds support shelter animals awaiting their forever homes.

“With the cancellation of our largest fundraiser of the year, our garage sale, we want to make our photo contest the best yet,” the society said in a release.
