Construction at St. Patrick’s Community School in Red Deer is expected to be complete before the end of the year.

The second phase of the pre-kindergarten to Grade 9 school’s modernization is now finished, Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools said this week.

This phase consisted of adding more offices and a new gym equipment room. It also includes updating existing classrooms, constructing a new chapel, refreshing the gathering area/music room/shop and reconfiguring bathrooms and change rooms.

“Our students and staff are happy with our learning spaces. The new spaces offer more opportunities for collaborative teaching,” said principal Terri Lynn Mundorf.

The third and final phase is now underway.

St. Patrick’s Community School’s modernization started in July 2018.
