The Red Deer RCMP welcomed high school students for police academy Wednesday.

The goal of the event was to introduce students, selected by their schools, interested in a career in policing to the practices of the Red Deer RCMP.

Students took part in a series of interactive physical challenges and learning opportunities. They also received their own uniform for the day and took part in physical PARE strength and conditioning test, which are part of the RCMP hiring process, and learned about the different departments in the RCMP.
