The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presented a live nativity pageant in north Red Deer on Wednesday. The event, a Christmas tradition for many central Albertans, included the use of live animals, a stable, costumed actors and an outdoor manger. The 20-minute-long pageant depicted the story of the birth of Christ as told in the Book of Luke with music, narration and acting. The event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
