Are you ready for some pickleball?

Red Deerians will learn more about a planned pickleball facility in the city, and its proposed locations for development, at an open house April 4.

A new outdoor 20-court facility will be built in Red Deer, with possible locations being the Collicutt Centre, Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School and 67 Street north of Riverside Drive.

The facility will be built because the growing demand of pickleball in the community.

The open house goes from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Snell Auditorium in the Red Deer Public Library’s downtown branch.
