Pilot program in Red Deer starts in January for those interested in career as support worker

Red Deer and District Community Foundation granted Central Alberta Brain Injury Society along with partner agency, Alberta Prairies Life Enrichment Training Studio Ltd. $8,500 for the Life Enrichment Support Worker pilot program.

Red Deer and District Community Foundation granted Central Alberta Brain Injury Society along with partner agency, Alberta Prairies Life Enrichment Training Studio Ltd. $8,500 for the Life Enrichment Support Worker pilot program.

The program currently in its first year, is a 12-week program created for individuals who are interested in a career as a support worker for the vulnerable population in the community such as seniors, individuals with special needs, and individuals with mental health and addiction concerns.

The program is set to start in January 2021. Due to the restrictions from the Covid-19 health crisis six participants for the pilot will be accepted. The pilot program for participants is free.
