Innisfail RCMP have laid charges against a Pine Lake man in relation to a shooting earlier this month.

Innisfail RCMP have laid charges against a Pine Lake man in relation to a shooting earlier this month.

Cory Lavallee was arrested near Bashaw on June 21 and is appearing in Red Deer provincial court today. He has been charged with attempt to commit murder, using a firearm in the commission of an offence and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Around 4:15 a.m. on June 2, Innisfail RCMP responded to a report that a male had been shot in the Pine Lake area. The injured man survived after being transported to hospital.
