Pioneer Days Festival to be held Aug. 20, 21 at Red Deer’s Sunnybrook Farm

Vintage tractors are all fired up for the Pioneer Days Festival at Sunnybrook Farm.

The two days of family fun will run Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 20 and 21, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Get set for an old-fashioned tractor pull competition, a tractor parade, antique and collector car show. Visitors can check out the live farm animal exhibition, learn about pioneer homesteading, and watch threshing and field demonstrations. A cowboy church service will be held Sunday at 10:3o a.m.

A pancake breakfast will be available, along with a silent auction. There will be a home-made cookie walk, food concession, live musical entertainment, face painting, bouncy castle, barrel train rides, and children’s activities.

Admission is $5 per person or $15 per family. Food can be purchased at additional cost.

Sunnybrook Farm is at 2879 Botterill Crescent. Parking is available at the Academy of Learning parking lot immediately West of Sunnybrook Farm.
