Police are searching for two people suspected of stealing a 80-cm (32-inch) flat screen television from a hotel shortly before Christmas.

Police are searching for two people suspected of stealing a 80-cm (32-inch) flat screen television from a hotel shortly before Christmas.

Const. Chris Kosack of Red Deer City RCMP said on Monday that police received a complaint on Dec. 23 from the Best Western Inn and Suites located in the 6800 block of 66th Street about 11 a.m. that a couple of guests had walked off with the television.

A man and a woman had checked into a room at the hotel on Dec. 20.

The Caucasian male is described as being in his mid-20s standing between 1.73 metres to 1.78 metres (five feet eight inches to five feet 10 inches). He had short blond hair and wore a blue hat and blue pants.

The woman is also a Caucasian and stands between 1.6 to 1.65 metres tall and wore a multicoloured jacket with fur on the hood.

Police request that anyone with information is urged to phone 403-343-5575 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
