Sylvan Lake RCMP are investigating a suspicious death.
Police responding to a 911 call about an assault went to a local residence at about 8 p.m. on Sunday.
EMS attended and a 32-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where she was declared dead. Responding RCMP officers determined her death to be suspicious.
The major crimes unit has been called in to take over the investigation.
Throughout the day Monday, RCMP canvassed the neighbourhood as part of their investigation.
An autopsy is planned.
