Police looking for men involved in armed robberies in Bashaw, Donalda

Two robbers armed with guns held up a store in Bashaw, and pair also held up a restaurant and bar in Donalda, early Tuesday evening.

Bashaw RCMP responded to a call at Bashaw Foods Liquor Town store at 5:43 p.m. where two male robbers assaulted two employees with a metal ice chipper from the store, pepper sprayed the staff, and held them at gunpoint.

The robbers fled the store, located at 5005 50th St., with an undetermined amount of cash in a white, four-wheel drive truck parked near the intersection of 51st Avenue and 50th Street.

At 6:08 p.m., RCMP responded to Dino’s Bar and Grill in Donalda after employees were held up at gunpoint. An undetermined amount of cash was taken.

Suspects could be heard leaving in a truck parked behind the bar, located at 5020 Main St.

Bashaw RCMP are continuing their investigation.
