Police looking for mugging suspect

Red Deer RCMP are looking for a suspect who threatened to cut a man unless he handed over some money in downtown Red Deer. Police responded to the mugging complaint on March 20 around 8:45 p.m. near 48th Avenue and 54th Street in Red Deer.

Police responded to the mugging complaint on March 20 around 8:45 p.m. near 48th Avenue and 54th Street in Red Deer.

Police say a man was walking south on 48th Avenue when he was approached by another man who threatened him. The victim was not carrying any money so the suspect took his lighter.

The victim ran away and the suspect continued to walk south on 48th Avenue.

The suspect is described as a thin Caucasian man in his 20s with pimples on his face. He had no tattoos or facial hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie and dark jeans and he was carrying a black garbage bag.
