Sometime last Saturday, someone broke into a stand-alone video dispenser in Rocky Mountain House and took 537 videos.

Rocky RCMP said the videos were DVDs and Blu-ray releases in a Redbox kiosk. The value is over $5,000.

Redbox is a company that has automated kiosks where people can rent movies and video games.

Redbox kiosks are located inside or outside places such as grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants and pharmacies.

The one in Rocky that was broken into was located outside the Sobeys store. Someone drilled out the lock on the Redbox and stole the contents.

The Redbox cases are slim and red, and the DVDs have bar codes on them.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-200-8477 (TIPS) or the Rocky RCMP detachment at 403-845-2882.
