Police on lookout for red-eyed robber

RCMP are searching for a red-eyed male robber who held up an Eastview convenience store early Saturday.

RCMP are searching for a red-eyed male robber who held up an Eastview convenience store early Saturday.

Cpl. Kathe DeHeer of Red Deer RCMP said Monday the heist occurred around 4 a.m. at the Express 24 on Ross Street and Erickson Drive.

The suspect had red contact lenses and his face was partially covered with a green or blue bandana.

He brandished a knife at the clerk and demanded cash.

He was last seen running into the subdivision.

The RCMP forensic identification unit investigated and discovered physical evidence which is being analyzed.

The suspect is described as white and standing between 1.78 to 1.83 metres (five feet 10 inches to six feet) with a slim build.

He had blonde eyebrows and wore a red and black patterned hooded sweater with dark jeans with holes.

He also wore dark skater shoes.
