Police seek help to find suspect in Blackfalds assault

A female was assaulted while walking on a pathway in Blackfalds on Saturday evening, police say. A press release from Blackfalds RCMP says that the female was grabbed and punched by a lone male at about 10 p.m.

A press release from Blackfalds RCMP says that the female was grabbed and punched by a lone male at about 10 p.m.

Police say the female was able to turn around and strike the male in the face and knee, forcing him to flee.

The male is described as Caucasian, 17 to 21 years old, approximately 1.8 metres (six feet) tall, wearing a green hoodie with blue or black on the sleeves. He had longish dirty blonde or brown hair that came down to his eye level.

The suspect will have injuries to his left cheek and left knee as a result of the struggle.
