Winnipeg police say they’re looking for a suspect in connection with the city’s first homicide of the year.
They say 31-year-old Leroy Flett was found with serious injuries after an alleged assault early in the morning on Dec. 30.
Flett was taken to hospital, but died of his injuries on New Year’s Day.
Police say they’ve identified a 29-year-old suspect in the case.
The man, described as five feet eleven inches tall and 176 pounds, is wanted on one count of manslaughter.
Police ask anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward.
