On Sunday, at about 7:50 p.m., Olds RCMP received a complaint of an armed robbery in the town of Bowden.

A 19-year-old man was reportedly walking to meet a friend near the Lions Community Hall when he was approached by two men.

As a third person stood nearby, these men — who were carrying hand guns or BB pistols— demanded he get on the ground and punched and slapped him.

The assailants took his wallet before fleeing. The victim was left with minor injuries.

Olds RCMP officers with assistance from Sundre and Innisfail detachments and Police Dog Services out of Red Deer were unsuccessful in tracking the suspects. Forensic Identification Services also assisted.

Police say the three suspects are all believed to be in their teens or early 20s.

The first suspect is a taller Caucasian male, slim, wearing a black mask, dark jeans and a yellow hooded sweatshirt with a dark sweater or vest on top.

The second suspect is a taller male, slender, wearing a medical mask with a black mask, a red shirt or hoodie and grey or tan coloured pants.

The third suspect is either a male or female, police say, about five-foot-five and heavier set.

Police believe the attack was targeted and there are no safety concern for the general public.
