An attempt to grab a ring and run from a jewelry store at CrossIron Mills mall has resulted in a Ponoka man being charged.
The suspect fled the mall in Balzac after stealing it but he was located and arrested shortly by Airdrie Rural RCMP at a nearby gas station. The suspect was also associated to a stolen Audi A4 vehicle that was taken out of the Edmonton area.
The 29-year-old man was charged with theft under, breach, and possession of stolen property. He also had arrest warrants out of Edmonton for possession of a dangerous weapon.
