Ponoka RCMP have charged a 33-year-old man with fraud offences.

On July 18, police began an investigation regarding a man breaching his conditions of release.

“During the subsequent investigation, the male was found to be in possession of a number of personal identification and financial cards in various names,” RCMP said Monday.

Greg Allen, of Ponoka, is charged with two counts of identity fraud, four counts of forgery, two counts of breaching a release order and theft, forgery or misuse of a credit.

Following a judicial interim release hearing, Allen was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on Friday.
