Ponoka resident Ryan Hudema bought the lucky ticket to win the Red Deer Hospital Lottery’s dream home.

He is now the owner of a new, fully furnished bungalow in Red Deer’s Evergreen neighbourhood valued at $1,126,465.

The home by Sorento Custom Homes has 3,049 sq. ft. of developed living space featuring a screened deck off the dining room, large fitness room, walk-in butler’s pantry, main floor laundry, chef quality appliances, with four bedrooms and three-and a half bathrooms.

Draws for the three top prizes were announced live on the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation Facebook page at noon on Thursday.

Mega Bucks 50 winners June and Ralph Melnick, of Red Deer, won $303,382.50.

Jory Meener-Foster, of Wainwright, won the 2022 Xtreme Outdoors Mini MAX trailer, valued at $49,282.

Proceeds from the 2023 Hospital Lottery and Mega Bucks 50 will fund critically needed equipment for several units at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.

“Once again thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket. We do have many other prizes on the list so please feel free to visit our website on Monday to see if you have won,” said foundation CEO Manon Therriault at the announcement.
