The City of Red Deer is informing drivers that 51 Avenue, between 50 Street and 49 Street, will be closed this weekend as crews replace catch basins and complete paving.
The portion of the road will be closed beginning 6:30 a.m. Saturday and is expected to re-open at 4 p.m. Monday.
Taylor Drive can be used for a traffic detour.
Motorists are reminded to slow down in construction areas and obey all signs. All road construction is weather dependent and schedules may be subject to change.
