Power outage scheduled for downtown Red Deer Thursday

A power outage scheduled for Thursday will affect some residents and businesses in the downtown core.

Power will be turned off between 1 and 4 a.m. while City of Red Deer crews conduct improvements to the electrical system.

The affected area will be from 50th Street (Ross) to 43rd Street, between 50th Avenue (Gaetz) and Taylor Drive.

It’s recommended that those effected turn off appliances and unplug all sensitive electronic equipment. Keep one light switch turned on, so you know when the power comes back on.
