Jack Semple is promising to turn the heat up to melt Red Deer’s deep freeze Saturday when he performs with his band at the Elks Lodge.
The Regina native has five decades of guitar-playing experience, delivering rock, blues and soul with a dose of funk.
The musician was with the Toronto band The Lincolns, and contributed to various television and music scores.
He also appeared in the title role of Guitarman, a 1994 TV movie, and won the Canada-wide MuchMusic Guitar Wars contest in 1992.
Semple has released eight albums over this career. The Gemini Award-nominated artist has performed with the Regina Symphony Orchestra as part of the group True Jazz Pluckers and continues to play with The Jack Semple Band.
