The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre is seeking support on Giving Tuesday.

The not-for-profit organization is primarily funded through private donations and relies on community support. The centre has had to cancel and “re-think” annual fundraisers, in light of COVID-19.

Since the annual banquet and other events accounted for a large portion of the group’s operational budget, “the need is growing, and our clients need us to be here to support and provide unconditional love,” states a release from the group.

The Pregnancy Care Centre’s Maternity Home has opened its phase one to new mothers and pregnant women who need a safe place to live while they learn parenting skills. To stay operational, and help women in this time of isolation, the group is seeking online donations on Giving Tuesday by visiting https://www.pregnancycare.ca/giving-guide.

“Every dollar counts,” states a release from the centre, which also offers a range of no-cost services including testing, counselling and mentorship.

The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre provides support and education to individuals and families impacted by unexpected pregnancy and its effects. Additional information is available by contacting the CAPCC at 403-343-1611.
