Props and Pistons Show and Shine back this summer at Red Deer Airport

You can look at aircraft and vehicles up close this spring at Red Deer Regional Airport.

The Props and Pistons Show and Shine is taking place May 24 in its third year. It will feature static aircraft displays, a vehicle show and shine, and a large variety of local food truck options.

In 2019, central Albertans came together to raise $6,200 in cash and more than 2,610 pounds of food at the event.

Admission is once again by donation to the Red Deer Food Bank – and can be either a cash donation, or a non-perishable food item.

Thousands in attendance took in a day of sunshine and displays, and took the opportunity to get up close and personal with aircraft big and small the past two years.

The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite aircraft and vehicle display.

This year, visitors can take in an additional event in conjunction with Buffalo Airways and Franklin Auction.

In Buffalo Airways’ newest hanger, Franklin Auction will host an aviation and vehicle auction.
