Having to dismount due to slippery conditions Jeff Whitford makes his way along 43 Avenue in Grandview on Thursday. Whitford who commutes using his bicycle year round says riding in the winter is OK so long as people clear their sidewalks. This week, however, the going has been rougher than usual with unplowed residential streets and snowed in sidewalks forcing him to push his road bike more often.
