Red Deer RCMP are advising motorists to drive with extreme caution on Hwy 2 as both north and south sections are slippery.
Blowing snow is making visibility poor.
This morning’s -6 C conditions are made worse by a wind that makes it feel like -13. It is expected to get colder throughout the day, with a low of -18 by overnight. Wind will make conditions feel like -29C overnight and Tuesday morning.
Good news is on the weather horizon, though, as temperatures are expected to hit 5C by Thursday and a high of 9C by Sunday.
