A man considered armed and dangerous and facing Red Deer and Blackfalds charges has been arrested.

A man considered armed and dangerous and facing Red Deer and Blackfalds charges has been arrested.

Stanley Robert Dick, 31, was arrested Friday by members of the Drumheller RCMP detachment. He was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for violating his parole as well as additional charges stemming from offences allegedly committed in Blackfalds, Red Deer and Drumheller.

RCMP received information that Dick was in a residence located in Drumheller. They secured the area and established contact with Dick, who then surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.

He faces the following charges: in Red Deer, driving while disqualified, flight from police, dangerous driving; in Drumheller, driving while disqualified, uttering threats, break and enter (11 charges in total); and in Blackfalds, driving while disqualified, dangerous driving, and resisting arrest (four charges in total).
