RCMP arrest Rocky Mountain House woman, seize cocaine

Rocky Mountain House RCMP have arrested a woman and seized cocaine.

Officers spotted the woman, who was wanted on a warrant, driving a vehicle at about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Police conducted a traffic stop and pulled the vehicle into a driveway. The vehicle was not registered and did not have the correct plate on it.

Tara Lynn Cassie, 25, of Rocky Mountain House, was then arrested without incident. Three vacuum-sealed packages, believed to be cocaine, and money were located in the vehicle.

Cassie is facing six charges, including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and failing to comply with a release order.
