Red Deer RCMP are looking for two men who tried to kidnap a 16-year-old girl in Glendale on June 4.

Police say the girl was walking on Glendale Boulevard when a black or dark grey Chevrolet Avalanche passed her, then circled back to her location around 5 p.m. on June 4.

The two men in the vehicle offered her a ride.

When she refused, the passenger got out and tried to force her toward the vehicle.

The victim kicked him in the groin and ran away. The suspects in turn drove away.

One suspect, the passenger, is described as a muscular Caucasian man in his mid 20s with dark brown hair, dark eyes and dark, thick bushy eyebrows with a slight tan. He is approximately 1.8 metres (six feet) tall. He has large hands, a large pointy nose, oval-shaped face and small ears. His face and hands appeared dirty and he had dirt under his fingernails. He has several sores in the area around his left elbow. His voice was described as deep and rough-sounding, with no discernible accent. He was wearing a dark blue baseball cap with a round, white emblem on the front, a white T-shirt with sleeves to the elbows and dirt smudges, blue jeans with dirt at the knees and black work boots.

The driver is described as a Caucasian man in his mid 20s with a slight tan. He was wearing a red hat, with black lettering on the front, white sunglasses with blue and yellow lenses, and a black or dark grey T-shirt. He may be bald. He has a square jaw line with prominent cheekbones. His voice was deep with no discernible accent. He was wearing a silver watch with a round face and a stretchy band.

The vehicle was described as a black or dark grey four-door Chevrolet Avalanche. The rear passenger windows and rear window had a dark tint. There was a large scrape on the back passenger door that extended toward the gas cap, approximately five to six inches long and three to four inches wide. The step up to the truck was dirty and silver. The lower part of the vehicle was dirty and there was mud in the wheel wells.
