RCMP identify suspect in rural mail thefts

A 20-year-old man of no disclosed address faces 11 charges related to thefts from a rural mailbox on Jan. 7.

A 20-year-old man of no disclosed address faces 11 charges related to thefts from a rural mailbox on Jan. 7.

Olds RCMP are seeking public assistance to track down Khoda Sullivan. Police traced the mailbox thefts to a man staying at the Pomeroy Inn and Suites in Olds.

The man faces charges of fraudulently obtaining lodging and food from the hotel. Inside the suspect’s room, police found stolen mail from the rural mailbox.

The man has also been charged with making a false statement, mischief under $5,000, breach of court order and five counts of possession of property under $5,000 obtained by crime.

Anyone with information about Sullivan’s location is asked to contact Olds RCMP at 403-556-3324 or Crime Stoppers.
