ALAMEDA, Sask. — A search continues in southeastern Saskatchewan for a missing ice fisherman whose ATV has been found under water.
The RCMP says its Underwater Recovery Team is at the Alameda Dam, where the 25-year-old man’s quad was located by the Oxbow Fire Department.
Police say the man told his family late Thursday afternoon that he was planning to go ice fishing north of the dam, and he has not been heard from since.
The RCMP says it launched a search that night and alerted other partners.
Police say the man’s ATV was found under the ice north of dam.
They say they will provide updates when they become available.
